DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 27\, 2026\n3:30 PM  5:00 PM\nTully-Levine Gallery in the ArtsXchange (map)\nJoin Ashley Rivers | The Nature of Fire for the closing of her first Solo Exhibition:\n“L I V (I N) G Estuary” … a space between.\nAn art exhibition that – influenced directly by the oyster shell and its deep\, layered\, and detailed ridges – explores my personal experience with artistic growth\, environmental factors\, and materials/media experimentation over the years I have been practicing as a professional artist. \nThe Closing Reception & Artificial Oyster Pot Community Creation Event will be happening on June 27th from 3:30 PM–5:00 PM\, an afternoon of art\, small bites\, and good vibes.  \nFacilitated by Non-Profit: Oyster River Ecology\, this is a fun\, unique\, family friendly\, and environmentally conscious art event where all can come and make artificial oyster pots that will be directly placed into our estuary! A community engagement event where participants/volunteers are actively involved in environmental restoration efforts! Come make one oyster pot or stay for the whole event and make 20+! \nAbout the Exhibition\nAn estuary is a point of convergence- it is the space between\, where freshwater rivers and salty ocean waters merge. This point\, where the union of different elements and organisms come together to meet at a single point- where adaption and growth occurs\, and the life of our special little oysters grows- indicates and symbolizes the very setting this exhibition is meant to be portrayed in. \nThrough repetition and active material experimentation\, these artworks investigate the intrinsic relationship between the natural systems and developments of an oyster and its shell\, and the symbolism of them compared to our human identity- specifically to my lived artistic experiences. The work explores my personal experience with artistic growth\, environmental factors\, and materials/media experimentation over the years I have been practicing as a professional artist. \nWorking with multiple mediums- including clays\, raw dyes and pigments\, natural fibers\, metals\, wood\, and hand-made papers and twines- the sculptures aim to share\, through textural and vulnerable forms\, that humans and nature share systematic parallels. \nThis collection is directly influenced by the oyster shell and its deep\, layered\, and detailed ridges. DESCRIPTION:Join Ashley Rivers | The Nature of Fire for the opening of her first Solo Exhibition:\n“L I V (I N) G Estuary” … a space between.\nAn art exhibition that – influenced directly by the oyster shell and its deep\, layered\, and detailed ridges – explores my personal experience with artistic growth\, environmental factors\, and materials/media experimentation over the years I have been practicing as a professional artist. \nBe sure to join us for the Opening Reception on June 6th from 3:30 PM–5:00 PM\, an afternoon of art\, small bites\, and good vibes. The exhibit will be on display until June 27th. \nAbout the Exhibition\nAn estuary is a point of convergence- it is the space between\, where freshwater rivers and salty ocean waters merge. This point\, where the union of different elements and organisms come together to meet at a single point- where adaption and growth occurs\, and the life of our special little oysters grows- indicates and symbolizes the very setting this exhibition is meant to be portrayed in. \nThrough repetition and active material experimentation\, these artworks investigate the intrinsic relationship between the natural systems and developments of an oyster and its shell\, and the symbolism of them compared to our human identity- specifically to my lived artistic experiences. The work explores my personal experience with artistic growth\, environmental factors\, and materials/media experimentation over the years I have been practicing as a professional artist. \nWorking with multiple mediums- including clays\, raw dyes and pigments\, natural fibers\, metals\, wood\, and hand-made papers and twines- the sculptures aim to share\, through textural and vulnerable forms\, that humans and nature share systematic parallels. \nThis collection is directly influenced by the oyster shell and its deep\, layered\, and detailed ridges. Come celebrate the artists\, the work\, and the community that makes it all happen. \nThis is the night we announce our juried award winners\, including Best in Show\, and raise a glass to the incredible talent that submitted work this year. Mingle with the artists\, meet the jurors\, and spend an evening surrounded by art that matters. \nTickets are $25 and include drinks and light bites. Artists attend FREE\, thanks to the generous support of the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art\, Delicious Wine Bar\, 3 Daughters Brewing\, and Fresco’s Waterfront Bistro. \nThis year’s awards are made possible by Viviva Colors\, Sculpey\, Natural Earth Paint\, Artify\, Blackwing\, and BLICK Art Materials\, along with a special gift from Cookin Genie. \nArtOUT 2026 is a juried visual art exhibition celebrating LGBTQ+ artists and allies\, presented by OUT Arts & Culture.

SUMMARY:Pattern and Pause Glass Exhibition: Matthew Szidik\, Kailey Carleton and Kimberly Fahey
DESCRIPTION:On view at the Chihuly Collection: July 25 – November 29 \nEach year at the Chihuly Collection\, we highlight the work of artists who create and/or teach at the Morean Glass Studio. The purpose of this exhibition series is to demonstrate that extraordinary glass art is made not only in the Pacific Northwest (where Dale Chihuly is from) but also right here in our backyard.  This year’s featured Morean Glass Studio artists\, like Chihuly\, are inspired by the rhythms and intricacies of the natural world to create meditative work that invites the viewer to pause and reflect. \nOriginally from Illinois\, Matthew Szidik is a demo artist\, narrator and instructor at the Morean Glass Studio. He teaches summer camp and intermediate courses as well as flameworking workshops. He holds a BFA from Southern Illinois University. Matthew says his work “transports people out of their everyday routine and into a place of meditation by reigniting their imagination.” \nKimberly Fahey joined the Morean Glass studio a year ago from New Jersey and currently serves as the introductory glassblowing instructor and assistant demonstration artist. She holds a BFA in Photography with a minor in Glass from Jacksonville University. Inspired by sacred geometry and mandalas\, her work combines glass and painting to explore meditation\, movement and material connection. \nHailing from Massachusetts\, Kailey Carleton is a beginning glassblowing instructor and demonstration artist in the Morean Glass Studio. She holds a BFA in Glass from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. About her work\, Kailey states\, “it explores the relationship between organic growth\, memory and transformation…I am drawn to the stillness found in small\, often-overlooked moments in nature and seek to evoke that quiet sense of presence within my work.”

Kennedy’s inaugural address and Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech\, this free\, public musical event is the perfect accompaniment to the Memorial Day holiday.

DESCRIPTION:Overview\nA guided cacao ceremony and sound bath within a contemporary art exhibition—designed to deepen presence\, perception\, and sensory connection. \nOn the evening of the first quarter moon\, Browne Art invites you into a guided\, multi-sensory experience designed to heighten perception and deepen your connection to both self and artwork. \nPart 1: Cacao \nGuests will be welcomed into the gallery and invited to settle into a comfortable\, grounded position within the exhibition space. The experience will open with a ceremonial cacao offering led by Day Monet\, rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions where cacao has long been used to open the heart\, deepen awareness\, and support connection. \nCeremonial-grade cacao—rich in magnesium\, antioxidants\, and theobromine—provides a gentle\, sustained energy that encourages clarity\, presence\, and receptivity. Through intentional guidance\, breath\, and shared atmosphere\, the ceremony creates a space for inward connection while attuning to the collective field of the room. \nPart 2: Sound Bath \nAs the experience deepens\, lighting will soften and guests will be invited to recline. A live sound bath led by Kelly Nariyah will follow\, incorporating Neptune gong\, koshi chimes\, and singing bowls. Sound waves will move through the space\, shifting the experience from observation into embodiment—where the artwork is not only seen\, but felt. \nHeld within the context of a contemporary exhibition\, this immersive environment expands the traditional viewing experience\, inviting a slower\, more intuitive engagement with the work on view. \nPart 3: Art Exploration \nFollowing the sound bath\, lights will gradually rise and guests will have the opportunity to move through the gallery\, reflect\, and explore the exhibition by Francesco Agresti more deeply in conversation with curator Jovian Browne. \nWhat to bring 🧘🏻‍♂️\nPlease bring the following to support your comfort during the experience:\n– Yoga mat\n– Towel or blanket\n– Comfortable clothing\n– Pillow or cushion (optional) \nPlease arrive to the gallery 10 minutes early to give yourself time to settle in to your place. We will be locking the doors at 4:10PM afterwhich no one else will be permitted to enter the gallery.
